This year’s Sutera Harbour 7K Charity Run is extra special as it celebrates its 17th Run on 1.7.17 (1 July 2017), flagging off at 17:17 hours.

To commemorate this special occasion, Sutera Harbour Resort have officially included PEMADAM Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu together with Sabah Thalassaemia Society and Special Olympics Sabah as the 7K Beneficiaries.

(L to R) Mr Elvis Dolinting of 100Plus, Mr Ngo York Kong – Honorary Treasurer of Special Olympics Sabah, Mr Gerard Tan – DCEO of SHR; YBhg Datuk Yeo Boon Hai – Mayor of KK City and President of PEMADAM Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu, Mr Francis Mujim – President of Sabah Thalassaemia Society and Ms Joanna Soh of Jesselton Medical Centre.

The Resort hopes the funds collected from the 7K Run will assist PEMADAM Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu with the running of their programmes and activities for anti-drug awareness; and for Sabah Thalassaemia Society and Special Olympics to continue their admirable efforts in helping the members of their respective organizations.

The total amount collected will be announced and divided equally between the beneficiaries. These funds are collected through various means via the 7K Run including registration, purchase of the 7K Vouchers, cash sponsorships as well as the 7K School Collection Cards.

These collection cards are distributed to selected schools within Kota Kinabalu. Depending on the amount collected as well as the number of runners, the schools can retain up to 90% of the total gross amount collected. The schools who are involved in this collection cards will use the funds for their school activities and projects.

The 7K Route remains unchanged; runners will run along the Sutera Harbour Boulevard towards the Imago Link Bridge passing by Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu, KK Times Square and return to Sutera Harbour Resort by making a u-turn at the end of the junction of Imago Shopping Mall.
