Sutera Harbour Resort presented a unique Hari Raya cake to the Head of Sabah State, His Excellency Tun Haji Juhar bin Haji Mahiruddin and his consort, Toh Puan Hajah Norlidah Datuk R.M. Jasni at the State Palace earlier this morning.
This year’s creation was a 60kg red velvet cake made from beetroot and red raspberry topped with cheese and decorated entirely with sugar pastilage and soft icing. In line with the Hari Raya theme, the outstanding masterpiece was decked in glowing light green with a tinge of yellow and gold.
Pastry Chef Howie Lim of The Pacific Sutera Hotel said the 4.5ft tall, sweet delight exuded a regal elegance of the State Palace and took him and his team two weeks to assemble.
Present together at the annual cake presentation ceremony that marks the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations were Sutera Harbour Resort’s Deputy CEO Gerard Tan together with Group Director of Sales & Marketing Samuel Gacos and Deputy Group Director of Sales & Marketing Elaine Kwan.
