The main objective of this hostel is to enable these children, who come from remote rural villages surrounding Pukak, to attend school on a regular basis so as to raise their academic standards and complete their primary education successfully.
The hostel adopts a holistic approach towards the development of the children and this is reflected through the various programmes that are conducted for them which encompass personal, social, value-based, spiritual, academic and intellectual aspects of formation.
The Hostel is jointly managed by Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepherd and the Hostel Management Team comprising villagers from Pukak, Kelobaan and Liposu.
