The US$100,000 Asean PGA Tour season ending event, Warisan Harta Sabah Masters was held from 6 to 9 January 2016 at Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club. We witnessed the Warisan Harta Sabah Master 2016 Champion Namchok Tantipokhakul of Thailand led from start to finish – great display for nerves of steel indeed!
The 3-day tournament with the involvement from Warisan Harta and Sabah Tourism Board saw some of the region’s top draws including title holder Mardan Mamat of Singapore, Wisut Artjanawat, who triumphed in 2011 and 2014, 2013 champion Antonio Lascuna from the Philippines, Malaysian number one Danny Chia as well as emerging talent Phachara Khongwatmai of Thailand, who has two professional titles to his name at the tender age of 16.
